Great for scanning documents on the go. A definite time saver

Hands down the best app. As a media student, we arent allowed technology in our classrooms. The medium is the message after all. So its hand written notes all day long. Missed a lecture? Get a friend to genius scan the notes. Print. Study. Pass your class. Need to scan a text book picture or drawn out diagram? Genius scan. Insert into your notes. First time signing a lease? Genius scan your lease so you always have a copy on hand for reference. A must have if you are picking up a package from Purolator. Need a copy of a magazine or newspaper advertisement to reference in an essay? Genius scan then insert the PDF.

I use genius scan for all my documents. It is a truly efficient and useful app.

Great app. Paid app really worth the money. Using it for few years

I needed to fax several pages to Kuro Neko Yamatos office in New York / New Jersey to get our things shipped over, but couldnt find a place which did international faxing. When I mentioned this to Yamato, they suggested Genius Scan. Wish I knew about this earlier. Its a great program. Even if your photo isnt perfect, you can adjust it to determine where the edges of the document are. You can also make a single file of several pages. The only thing I dont like about it is, although it converts the document to black & white, the memory size is still the same as full size photos. This can cause problems with set server limitations on either end. So in my case for example, I needed to send thirteen pages--which shouldnt have been a problem for black & white copies--but the file was too big, so I had to break it into two parts and send them by separate e-mails.
