Genius Scan is free to use for as long as you want.

Should you choose to, you can subscribe to the Genius Scan Plus plan for more features. You can subscribe to Genius Cloud for backup & synchronization. In that case, Genius Scan’s store displays the duration and price of each subscription, updated at the time of purchase. Payment will be charged to iTunes account when the order is confirmed. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off no later than 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions, disable auto-renewal in the iTunes account settings.

Highly recommended. I can keep all my files in my iPhone and I pad ready to use/ print anytime. Easy to use. Shame I didnt know it before my divorce , lol!
Genius Scan was already good, but it got even better! Edge detection is great and allows for picture taking in batches, making the whole process super fast. Bravo!!
I have a lot of documents to scan and send daily and this app really makes it easy for me.
Not much to say about this awesome app other than that it just what I need it to do: "scan" documents via the camera, do automated formatting and the ability to send it off as a pdf file.
This is one of my go-to apps that I use all of the time-easier than using my printer/scanner at home. Needs bright light but that is easy to find. I use it to keep copies of important documents, to take copies of receipts before I file expense claims, to scan signed documents to send by e-mail. Can add different tags to make things a lot easier to find than being in my PhotoStream. Sometimes it does not recognize the edge of the doc otherwise I would give it 5 stars. I have been using the free version but plan to purchase the plus version to help support development.
This is one of the most useful apps on my phone! It has saved me so much time, and it works really well! Great app, thanks so much for this.

Some bad moments

On this new version on iPhone 6, the app stop working when you try to export through email. Terrible
Just upgraded to the latest version and now my docs are automatically uploaded to the cloud. This is NOT what I want. An option to turn this off would be nice and bring this back up to 5-stars. I want the scans to be local only until I decide what to do with it.
Now too confusing. Was great before this update. Doesnt support gmail as mail client.
After scanning the last update is no longer cut to the boundary allocation document.
DO NOT BUY THIS APP... Genius scan was a fantastic app, before I purchased it so that I could send larger files to Dropbox. Once I purchased Genius Scan+, anytime I try to email or Dropbox any file the app crashes. So now all the pictures of documents I have in my genius scan app are pointless. I want my money back. Even if it was on $6.99.
